Sir Geoff Hurst MBE

At the base of my painting is the 1966 England World Cup Team with Bobby Moore holding aloft the trophy; slightly above this is Geoff scoring the the winning goal, the England football team logo links this to his other football achievements. I have incorporated the European Cup Winners Cup and F.A. Cup won when playing for West Ham United. All of these footballing achievements are linked by the words "They think it is all over" possibly the most famous sporting commentary ever!
Alongside him is the insignia of  Knights Bachelor next to the M.B.E.
He was educated at Kings Road Primary School, Chelmsford, Essex - this is represented by the Essex logo. He also played cricket for his County.
In 1999 he was made an honorary doctor of Anglia Ruskin University and this is represented below the M.B.E.
The AON logo represents his business career post football, he was a Managing Director of the AON Group.
The painting was signed by Sir Geoff and auctioned with all proceeds donated to the NSPCC.
