For cost effectiveness and convenience Stuart works from photographs with one third of the fee payable on starting the work, and the remaining balance on completion/acceptance. He was recently commissioned to paint 41 portraits no larger than ¼” x 3/16” (7mm x 5mm), but he usually works on canvas or canvas board ranging from 16” x 20” (400mm x 510mm) to 20” x 30” (510mm x 760mm).
